Most dress shirts are woven. Apollo is not. It is a knit, which is what gives it an open, breathable structure and stretch in every direction. AeroZero is a stretch woven, so it reads as a traditional dress shirt while bringing lightweight, quick-drying performance fabric to it. Almost every other difference between the two follows from that choice.
Apollo: built to regulate temperature
Apollo pairs an ultra-breathable pique knit with NASA Phase Change technology, which works like a thermal battery: it absorbs heat when you run warm and releases it as you cool down, helping you stay comfortable as conditions change through the day. The open knit is 19 times more breathable than traditional woven cotton, and the knit structure gives it 4-way stretch that holds its shape.
The fabric is 60% recycled polyester and 40% Sorona. It resists wrinkles, and your body heat relaxes any creases as you wear it.
Best for: warm offices, active commutes, long days with changing temperatures, and anyone who has sweated through a cotton shirt before lunch.
AeroZero: built to travel light
AeroZero is soft, light and stretchy, but always polished. Hydrophobic fibers wick moisture away and dry two to three times faster than cotton, and the fabric comes out of the dryer wrinkle-free. On the road, it can even be washed in a hotel sink.
The collar is engineered to stay sharp: a no-warp 3D collar with built-in collar stays, and a hidden button-down that keeps the points in place. The fabric is 100% polyester; the solid colorways offer the most stretch.
Best for: carry-on and one-bag travel, back-to-back trips, and anyone who wants a classic dress shirt without the upkeep.
